Travelling home to the cottage in Coquetdale after a good day out can be quite rewarding. I'm always on the lookout for buzzards, curlews, and hares at this time of day.
I wasn't to be disappointed as two hares had woken from their slumbers and were happily feeding on a slope by the roadside.
